Safety Info

Safety!
  • Safety glasses are required at all times while equipment is in use.   Not only are safety glasses a good precaution, they prepare students for industry where they are also required.
  • If you are allergic to dusts, cement or any other materials encountered in labs, please see an instructor to make alternative arrangements.

Equipment Used
  • Volumetric flask for specific gravity
  • Sand cone
  • Scales
  • Bulk specific gravity apparatus
  • Proving bucket

Procedure

Since the procedure is rather detailed, it is combined with the data sheets and the Data Development of Results:
