Research Interest:
Per's research interest is focused on
forecasting, designing and evaluating facilities with emphasis
on traffic safety and environmental aspects. He has been
conducting research on the effect of continuous rumble strips
along highways; safety of pedestrians and bicyclists; the effect
of different intersection lay-outs and controls, such as
signalized intersections and roundabouts; factors influencing
injuries in head-on collisions; driver stress evaluation in
intelligent vehicle highway systems; conflict studies; and
studies on the value of time. The results of his research can be
found in publications.
