Specifying Dowels in Wheelpaths

Different dowel spacing parameters are specified independently for each row of slabs (in the example in Figure 1 below, the dowels in the second row of slabs are being located). Selecting the Wheelpath checkbox brings up the panel shown in Figure 1, requiring that the number of dowels in each wheelpath (Number), the distance from the top edge of the slab to the first dowel (Edge1), and the distance from the bottom edge of the slab to the first dowel (Edge 2) be specified. These values will apply at each transverse joint for the second row of slabs as shown. All terms are defined in the small graphic in the sub-panel below where dowel location parameters are specified as shown below in Figure 1. The parameter Emb controls the embedment of each dowel into the slab on each side of the joint, and is therefore half the total dowel length; the dowel diameter is specified via Diameter.
