Manually Locating Dowels in the Model

The transverse location of each dowel can be specified by selecting the Manual Entry checkbox. In this case, the parameters that govern the dowel placement are the total number of dowels across the transverse joint (Number), and the y-coordinate of each dowel (see Slab Layout for an explanation of EverFE's coordinate system). An example is shown below in Figure 1, where the dowels in the second row of slabs are manually positioned at y = -1300mm,  -1000mm, -850mm, etc. These y-coordinate values are entered via the scrolled list of entryboxes on the right side of the dowel location sub-panel. The parameter Emb controls the embedment of each dowel into the slab on each side of the joint, and is therefore half the total dowel length; the dowel diameter is specified via Diameter.
